Fire & Fury Wins, The Cultural Revolution, Irony Abounds

Fire & Fury Wins

President Trump warned North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un that he faced "fire and fury" if he attacked the United States or our allies. Secretary of Defense James Mattis said yesterday that if Kim fired missiles toward Guam or the U.S., "It's game on. . . The bottom line is we will defend the country and for us that's war."

It seems North Korea's Stalinist dictator got the message.

Trump Addresses The Nation, An Observation, What Now?

Trump Addresses The Nation

Shortly after noon today, President Trump addressed the nation from the White House. His remarks, which largely echoed his comments from this weekend, were a powerful condemnation of bigotry and racism. He notably added a condemnation of specific groups, including the KKK, neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

The president vowed to bring those responsible for the violence in Charlottesville to justice, and he again called on all Americans to unite together in "love and loyalty." Here are excerpts of the president's statement:

Standing Firm, How Far Gone Is The Left?, Other Headlines

Standing Firm

Multiple big media outlets were in a tizzy again this morning. According to them, President Trump was "ratcheting up" tensions with North Korea when he wrote this tweet: "Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely. Hopefully Kim Jong-un will find another path!"

The Post's Propaganda

I was furious this morning after I finished reading my copy of today's Pyongyang Post, I mean the Washington Post. It is hard to tell the difference. The left-wing media's hyper-critical coverage of President Trump is matched only by the propaganda coming from North Korea's state-run media.

About That Vote, WWKD?, Overplaying Her Hand

About That Vote

The 15-to-0 Security Council vote imposing the toughest sanctions ever on North Korea is still reverberating today. U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, whom I admire, was asked this morning on Fox & Friends what turned the tide at the U.N. Security Council to get China and Russia on board.

Haley answered, "It was really me saying, 'How many more ICBM [intercontinental ballistic missile] tests do we need to have before we do something?"

15-To-0, Ready For 2020?

15-To-0

The United Nations Security Council voted 15-to-0 this weekend in support of tough new sanctions against North Korea. The sanctions, drafted by the United States, come in the wake of repeated ballistic missile tests that have revealed shocking advances in the Stalinist regime's capabilities.

Mueller Goes Nuclear, Elite Disdain, Plugging Leaks

Mueller Goes Nuclear

News broke late yesterday that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has impaneled a grand jury in Washington, D.C. Subpoenas related to last year's meeting at Trump Tower between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer have reportedly been issued.

Grand jury investigations are supposed to be secret, so this news was obviously leaked by someone on Mueller's staff or in the Justice Department in order to damage the president.

Miller Gets "Acosted", Those Canadian Bigots, The Case For A Special Prosecutor

Miller Gets "Acosted"

Trump Senior Policy Adviser Stephen Miller stepped up to the podium yesterday in the White House Briefing Room to answer questions about the RAISE Act, legislation reforming the nation's legal immigration system. He ended up getting accosted by CNN's left-wing "attack dog," Jim Acosta.

Their epic exchange is a perfect example of the division between left and right. It is also clear evidence that many so-called "journalists" are not unbiased reporters of facts, but active combatants on one side of America's culture war.

America First

President Trump today announced his support for the RAISE Act, legislation reforming the nation's legal immigration system. The RAISE Act is co-sponsored by Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and David Perdue (R-GA).

If enacted, the measure would reduce legal immigration by 50%. That may sound like a lot because it is a lot.
