Fighting For Life

Last night President Donald Trump addressed the Susan B. Anthony List Gala.  SBA List is one of the largest pro-life organizations in America.

Donald Trump was not the first choice of many pro-life voters during the 2016 primaries.  But in the brief time he has been in office, he has proved himself to be among our most pro-life presidents.

In fact, Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA List, was staunchly opposed to Trump's nomination in 2016.  But yesterday she said, "I'm totally eating my words.  It's the happiest wrong I've ever been."

During his remarks last night, President Trump said, "When I ran for office, I pledged to stand for life.  As president, that's exactly what I've done.  I have kept my promise."

He then announced that he was keeping another promise to the pro-life community:

"For decades American taxpayers have been wrongfully forced to subsidize the abortion industry through Title X federal funding.  So today, we have kept another promise.  My administration has proposed a new rule to prohibit Title X funding from going to any clinic that performs abortions."

President Trump also celebrated the strength of the pro-life movement, saying:

"For the first time since Roe v. Wade, America has a pro-life president, a pro-life vice president, a pro-life House of Representatives, and 25 pro-life state capitals."

We are making progress, my friends.

Please stand with me as we fight for life!

Fighting MS-13 Animals

President Trump is going to Long Island, New York, today for a summit on gang violence.  As Rep. Peter King (R-NY) noted, Long Island has become "ground zero" in the government's war against the vicious animals of MS-13.  Many MS-13 gang members were dumped into Long Island communities by the Obama Administration as "unaccompanied minors."

We found out last week that the left doesn't like it when you call these thugs "animals."  But that's exactly how they act.  And that's how they treat their victims -- like animals being butchered.

In fact, one MS-13 gang member in Boston, nicknamed "Animal," was just sentenced to 40 years in jail for the brutal murder of a 15 year-old boy.

Why does Donald Trump keep coming back to this issue?  Because he genuinely cares about the American people.  He campaigned with "Angel Moms" throughout 2016.  During his State of the Union address, Trump honored parents whose children had been murdered by MS-13 gang members.

While the left defends illegal immigrants and its insane open borders agenda, Donald Trump is putting the safety of American citizens first.  He knows the anguish these families live with every day and will live with for the rest of their lives.

"Spygate"

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper was on "The View" yesterday.  (Anyone care to join the Clinton, Comey, Clapper book club?)  Co-host Joy Behar asked if the government was spying on the Trump campaign.  Here's what Clapper said:

"They were spying on, a term I don't particularly like, but on what the Russians were doing. Trying to understand were the Russians infiltrating, trying to gain access, trying to gain leverage or influence, which is what they do."

So, basically, yes, the Obama Administration was spying on Trump's campaign.  Clapper then went on to suggest that Trump should be "happy" about that effort, something he has said before.

Needless to say, President Trump isn't very happy about this admission from Mr. Clapper.  He tweeted this morning, "SPYGATE could be one of the biggest political scandals in history!"

Ronald Reagan used to say there was one sentence that put all Americans on edge:  "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you."

Is it really credible that the Obama Administration, which politicized everything, including the IRS, was sitting around trying to figure out how it could "help" Donald Trump?

Many #NeverTrumpers often say, "If Trump didn't do anything wrong, why is he so aggressively trying to shut down the Mueller investigation?"  We've answered that question in this report many times.

But what is more puzzling is this:  If Clapper and the Deep State were really just trying to "help," why do they keep resisting his efforts to get the truth out?  Why do they keep changing their story about the origins of the counterintelligence investigation against his campaign and who knew about it?

Every time congressional oversight committees or a handful of real journalists uncover a new fact that shows what we have been previously told was untrue, we get a planted story in the New York Times or the Washington Post from Deep State officials with a whole new version of events.

Robert Mueller wants the president to sit down under oath to talk about something that didn't happen.

But no one who was "just trying to help" has yet to go on the record saying exactly when the investigation began, who was spying on the Trump campaign and why they did not go directly to Donald Trump and explain what their concerns were regarding Russia's meddling in the election.

Here's the bottom line: Multiple investigations of the president have taken place and are ongoing.  So far, none of the indictments have anything to do with collusion.

At the same time, there is growing evidence that the Obama Administration, just as it did in the Iran nuclear debate and against some reporters, weaponized the national security agencies of the federal government against its political opponents.

So far the only investigation of that offense is being done by the inspector general of the Justice Department.  And he just got started.

NFL Bows To Trump

After declining ratings and empty stadiums, the NFL has realized that being on the wrong side of President Trump in national anthem protests is not the best place for the franchise to be.  The League announced a compromise today that it hopes will get the NFL back on the right side of football fans and the country.

According to the new policy, players on the field must stand for national anthem.  If they don't the team will be fined.  But players don't have to come out onto the field at all.  They can choose to stay in the locker room during the anthem.

We'll see how the fans respond.  But the new policy proves one thing.  The argument that these employees had a First Amendment right to engage in protests on the job is nonsense.

As long as the players' disrespect for the country is out of sight, the controversy may die down.  But I know this much:  America will not be well-served by a generation of Colin Kaepernicks who cower in the locker room.  We need more heroes like Pat Tillman who will proudly stand and fight for this country.
