End Of Day - 10-14-25 - The Peace President, No Moral Equivalence, Trump The Tireless

The Peace President

Virtually every leading Democrat and media pundit hysterically screamed in 2016 that Donald Trump was “a warmonger.” They said he had no idea what he was doing, that he would destroy our alliances, and that he couldn’t be trusted with the nation’s nuclear arsenal.

They were all wrong. Donald Trump understands what so much of our “establishment” doesn’t—peace through strength works.

That’s why thousands of grateful Israelis, many wearing MAGA hats, were chanting, “We love Trump,” yesterday. And it’s why some at Trump’s Knesset address wore red hats reading, “Trump The Peace President.”

By the way, don’t forget that image of Israelis cheering Trump the next time you hear a Democrat politician, Hollywood celebrity, or major media pundit says, “Donald Trump is Hitler.”

I reviewed the history books to find a similar moment when the Jews of Europe chanted, “We love Hitler.” But I couldn’t find it because it never happened!

I would think the one population group in the world best able to recognize another “Hitler” when they saw him would be the people Hitler committed genocide against.

Chuck Schumer, Kamala Harris, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and others made statements about the developments in the Middle East. If you listened carefully, you might conclude, “Oh, they are giving Trump credit for the peace deal.” But you had to listen very carefully to hear it.

Implied in their “pat on the back” was the usual huge “But. . .” It won’t be long before Democrats abandon this rare moment of bipartisan agreement for the opportunity to score cheap political points.

As the government shutdown enters Day 14, Democrats are eager to launch into another attack on how everyone is going to lose their healthcare and watch their elderly relatives die because Republicans want to extend the current budget of the United States for seven weeks while the two parties work out their differences.

No Moral Equivalence

Media videos showed Israeli families welcoming home their family members, all civilians, who were taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023. There were tears of joy and tremendous expressions of love.

The media then juxtaposed this with the thousands of Palestinian prisoners Israel released. Among them were 250 who were in prison because they engaged in deadly terrorist acts against Israel. They had legal representation and were found guilty in fair trials. They were serving life sentences because they intentionally murdered innocent civilians.

I still remember one of the Palestinian/Hamas jihadists who took part in the October 7th attack. He took the cellphone off of an Israeli woman he had just killed and called his parents. The jihadist said:

“I’m speaking to you from Kibbutz Mefalsim. . . Your son killed Jews! . . . Dad, I’m speaking to you from the telephone of a Jewish woman. I killed her and I killed her husband. With my own hands. I killed ten! Dad, ten with my own hands!”

His father responded, “Oh my son, Allah bless you!” His mother said, “I wish I was with you.”

It is obviously true that all people, when their loved ones have been taken prisoner or have been away for years, will rejoice when those loved ones return. But the moral equivalence ends there. Israel wanted its innocent civilians back. Hamas wanted its murderers and terrorists back.

A Nazi guard at a death camp would have been welcomed home by his German parents when the war was over. A U.S. Marine returning home after helping to liberate Europe would have been welcomed home by his American parents.

The celebrations of the two families would have been similar. But the moral equivalence ends there. One was a monster. The Marine was a hero.

Shame on the U.S. media for making the celebrations of Palestinians families welcoming their Jew-hating, terrorist sons home and Israeli families welcoming home their innocent loved ones as somehow equivalent.

Trump The Tireless

After meeting with the families of Israeli hostages, addressing the Knesset, and flying to Egypt for a summit of world leaders supporting the president’s peace plan, President Trump flew back to Washington, D.C., arriving at the White House at 3:00 a.m.

The president maintained this backbreaking schedule in order to posthumously award Charlie Kirk the President Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. President Trump will present the medal to Erika Kirk this afternoon on what would have been Charlie’s 32nd birthday.

Trump is not thinking one second about what he will do after the presidency. He is pouring himself out, emptying himself in service to our country every hour. It is an extraordinary effort.

In the Reagan years, I flew on Air Force One a number of times. It was, of course, an amazing thing to realize you were in that plane flying with the president of the United States.

It was also a time, depending on the length of the trip, when you could get some rest. People flying on Air Force One today say it’s a mixed blessing. Yes, you’re on the president’s plane, but they can’t figure out when Trump gets any rest, and, as a result, they don’t either!

No Kings Nonsense

Brace yourself for another round of idiotic nonsense from the radical Left. “No Kings” protests will be held across the country this Saturday, October 18th. A major demonstration is planned in Washington, D.C., outside of the Capitol Building.

Adam Swart, who runs a company that provides paid demonstrators for anyone who wants them, turned down offers from No Kings organizers. He told Fox News, “My concern is that there are forces—some domestic, some maybe foreign—that actually want to pull America apart.”

I pray he’s wrong, but nothing should surprise us at this point.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Republican frustration with Democrats is boiling over because Democrats refuse to reopen the government until after Saturday’s No Kings demonstration. Why? Because they are afraid these radicals would turn on them.

And with the government shut down, the demonstration might be swelled by government employees. Their left-wing unions are pushing federal bureaucrats to attend the Washington, D.C., demonstration.

Faith Under Siege

Two historically significant Christian cathedrals have been desecrated in recent days. We have commented often on the avalanche of anti-Christian hate and desecrations of churches. From Nigeria to Canada, from France to Syria, Christians and Christian places of worship are regularly under attack.

I happen to believe that a church flying an LGBTQ flag is, in its own way, an act of desecration of the church. But here’s a more vivid example.

The dean of Canterbury Cathedral, who is in a same-sex “marriage,” hired an “artist” for an art project called “Hear Us.” The “art” was produced by members of “marginalized communities—including the Punjabi, black and brown diaspora, neurodivergent individuals, and the LGBTQIA+ population.”

What exactly was this art? It was graffiti. Yes, that’s right—the dean of Canterbury Cathedral hired a transgender “artist” to put graffiti on the walls of a historic church founded by St. Augustine in 597 AD.

This is where the road leads when churches buy into the idea of “welcoming” LGBTQ activists. As Christians, it is sufficient to say, “All sinners are welcome here. Christ is the answer to your sin.”

But when church leaders openly embrace one group of sinners, and it’s the one group most at war against with religious liberty, you’ve gone off the rails. That is not showing the love of Christ; you’re committing suicide of the Church of Jesus Christ.

If you have any doubt that this is the devil’s work, just look at how homosexuality has split mainline Protestant denominations.

If someone in 1960 claimed to be a prophet and prophesized that in a few decades every church in America would divide over same-sex sodomy, you’d say, “Okay, get the net. This guy belongs in an asylum.” But that’s exactly what happened.

Remembering Dr. Dobson

The James Dobson Family Institute has posted a recording of Dr. Dobson’s memorial service that took place earlier this month.

You can hear remarks from Dr. Bart Brock, president of the James Dobson Family Institute; from Dr. Dobson’s children, Danae and Ryan; from JDFI board members, as well as Speaker Mike Johnson, former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, and others. My tribute to Dr. Dobson is also posted online.

You can watch this moving service celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. James Dobson here.
