What are we to think when the top official in charge of the government’s COVID pandemic response refuses to answer questions from our elected representatives in Congress? He refused to tell us what exactly he knew and when he knew it and why he lied to us. For a man in love with the sound of his own voice, Fauci’s uncharacteristic silence spoke volumes.
Senators were particularly interested in hearing Dr. Fauci explain the many contradictions—the many lies—between his public statements to the American people and his private comments in his recently discovered diary.
Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., disclosed that the diary was discovered on at least 11 government servers at the Department of Health and Human Services. It was deliberately hidden, presumably by Fauci, in the hopes it would never be found. The hidden server files were Fauci’s equivalent of burn bags.
It’s too bad none of us could plead the Fifth six years ago when we were asked if we had gotten jabbed!
No Americans got blanket pardons for breaking Fauci’s dictatorial COVID mandates. They didn’t walk away with a $5 million book deal. They lost their jobs. They lost their businesses. Our children lost their schools. We all lost our freedom.
Fauci In Contempt
Kudos to Senator Josh Hawley! He “threw the book” at Dr. Fauci during this morning’s hearing, pointing out that Fauci has no legal Fifth Amendment rights precisely because of Joe Biden’s autopen pardon. With no threat of prosecution, there’s no legal risk of self-incrimination—unless Fauci was planning on lying again under oath.
Senator Bernie Moreno spoke for millions of Americans when he blasted Fauci’s “stupid” policies that got one Ohio mother tased and arrested for not wearing a mask outside at a middle school football game.
Sen. Moreno said, “Who the f--k do you think you were for doing that?” When Sen. Moreno asked Fauci if he would like to apologize to the American people for the damage he caused, he pleaded the Fifth.
Sen. Rand Paul, chairman of the committee, announced that a vote will be held next week on whether to charge Dr. Fauci with contempt of Congress. Will every Democrat vote “no”? Will every Republican vote “yes”?
Trump Rights A Biden Wrong
Imagine this happening to you and your family tomorrow morning. Dozens of FBI agents, their guns drawn, rush your house, put you in handcuffs and drag you away as your children scream in horror. That is exactly what happened to Paul Vaughn, while they refused to tell his wife why he was being arrested.
He didn’t rob a bank. He wasn’t part of organized crime. He didn’t kill or rape anyone. Vaughn’s “crime” was peacefully demonstrating in defense of the sanctity of life at a Tennessee abortion clinic in 2021. The pro-abortion Biden/Harris regime was determined to use him to intimidate the pro-life movement.
For doing nothing more than taking part in a “sit-in” at an abortion clinic, the Biden Justice Department treated Paul Vaughn like a “domestic terrorist” and a threat to the safety of the American people. They charged him with crimes that could have put him in jail for a decade or more. Thankfully, a judge refused to go along with this abuse of power and “only” sentenced Vaugh to probation.
Paul Vaugh was just one of many pro-life activists who were persecuted by the Biden/Harris regime. Vaugh and his family are heroes for standing up for our Christian faith and the right to life. But we don’t get to burn the names of our heroes into the consciousness of the American people. Only the Left gets to do that.
I am pleased to report that the Trump Justice Department has just agreed to a seven-figure settlement for the torment Vaughn and his family endured. Don’t forget Paul Vaughn’s name, and don’t miss what was really going on.
Vaughn’s prosecution wasn’t just about destroying one man and his family. It was about intimidating other pro-life Americans in the hope we would lose our courage.
Ironically, many leftists claim they want to abolish the police and prisons. They don’t like incarceration. They’re full of empathy and mercy—unless it is a Christian or a conservative on trial. Then, their compassion mysteriously disappears, and they’re suddenly the toughest sheriffs in town.
Comrade Mamdani’s Commissary
New York City’s Marxist Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced this week that his government-run grocery stores will offer products at a 30% discount. That’s not just on special weekend sales. The discounted prices will be fixed for an entire month.
That may sound nice, but command economies and government price controls never work. If they did, Cuba would be a paradise instead of a hellhole, and the Soviet Union would still exist. Needless to say, local grocery store owners are fuming because they can’t absorb losses like that.
While shoppers may benefit in the short term, New York City taxpayers will suffer. There is absolutely no way these stores will be self-sufficient or—dare I say it—profitable. Grocery stores have some of the slimmest profit margins of any industry. So, taxpayers will be paying for every transaction.
They’ll also be subsidizing groceries for Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania residents who commute to work in the city.
A Somber Anniversary
Speaking of New York City and Mayor Mamdani, we’re approaching the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center Towers. We will never forget the thousands who died there and on United Flight 93, the plane that was brought down by courageous passengers when they fought back.
Some people are worried that New York may be attacked again on the upcoming symbolic anniversary. The Islamic death worshippers are insane, so you have to be prepared for that possibility.
But if you look at it logically, why would Islamists attack New York City now? The Muslim mayor already has the keys to the city. They can just put on a suit and go work for him.
