Trump’s Peace Push

Yesterday’s White House peace summit between President Trump, President Zelensky, and various European leaders was definitely a big step forward. Here’s how President Trump summarized the summit in a Truth Social post:

“During the meeting we discussed Security Guarantees for Ukraine, which Guarantees would be provided by the various European Countries. . . Everyone is very happy about the possibility of PEACE for Russia/Ukraine.

“At the conclusion of the meetings, I called President Putin, and began the arrangements for a meeting, at a location to be determined, between President Putin and President Zelenskyy. After that meeting takes place, we will have a [trilateral meeting], which would be the two Presidents, plus myself.”

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz reportedly said that Putin agreed to meet with Zelensky in two weeks.

Nevertheless, what we have pointed out before continues. Every step of the way, every hour of every day, the Democrats’ contribution to this effort is trying to ensure that it fails.

The Left hates the idea of a confident MAGA America that wields its strength and power to prevent war and preserve peace. That is against everything they are devoted to. They don’t believe America is or ever was a great country, and they are all in on the globalist agenda that seeks to diminish American power and surrender America’s sovereignty.

Here’s something else the Left hates—President Trump is winning high praise for his peace efforts.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte told Laura Ingraham, “Without President Trump, this deadlock with Putin would not have been broken. He was the only one who could do this.”

Finnish President Alexander Stubb said, “In the past two weeks, we’ve probably had more progress in ending this war than we have in the past three and a half years.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “This was truly a significant step toward ending the war and ensuring the security of Ukraine and our people.”

Reality Check

Here are two important reality checks. I’ll begin with the reality on the ground in Ukraine.

Zelensky’s public position, along with many in the Uniparty’s war wing, has been, “We won’t give up one centimeter of territory. Any agreement giving up land would be a betrayal and a nonstarter.”

That’s the rhetoric you use when you have won the war. Ukraine has not won the war. Neither has Russia. So, in order to end the war, both sides are going to have to accept things they really don’t want to accept. Even Lindsey Graham understands this.

But if either side refuses to make any concessions, then the only way the war ends is when one side wins, which means more deaths on both sides for who knows how long.

Here’s another reality Zelensky is facing: 69% of Ukrainians want to negotiate to end the war as soon as possible, compared to just 24% who want to fight until Ukraine wins.

It wouldn’t surprise me if polling found similar numbers in Russia. But public opinion doesn’t matter as much in Moscow as it does in Kyiv.

Trump’s Surge

Of course, Big Media are parroting the Left’s negative narratives 24 hours a day, which is why the latest public opinion poll is so astonishing.

A new InsiderAdvantage poll finds President Trump’s approval rating has soared to 54%. Last month, the same poll found Trump at 50%.

So, after five weeks of nothing but contrived controversies by the Left, Trump is up to 54%, and his disapproval rating is down from 48% to 44%.

By the way, some pundits have predicted that Trump’s aggressive action on immigration enforcement would cause his support among Hispanics to crater. They’re wrong—47% of Hispanics approve of the president’s job performance. Trump even earns positive marks from 18% of Democrats.

Democrat Distractions

Former Attorney General Bill Barr testified before the House Oversight Committee yesterday regarding his knowledge of the Jeffrey Epstein case. Barr told the committee that President Trump never intervened in any way after Epstein was arrested in 2019 or after his death.

Barr also reportedly told the committee that “if any incriminating evidence against Trump existed, the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) would have already released it.”

Every time President Trump does something important, the Left’s new tactic is to claim, “He’s just trying to divert attention from the Jeffrey Epstein files.” Once again, the truth is the exact opposite.

Every time Trump does something Democrats know the public will like—fighting crime in our big cities, cracking down on illegal aliens—Democrats are the ones desperately trying to distract the public’s attention by citing the Epstein files!

Newsom’s Nonsense

California Gov. Gavin Newsom was in full damage control mode after the viral news that an illegal alien with a California driver’s license killed three people on the Florida Turnpike.

Newsom noted that Harjinder Singh came into the country illegally in 2018, so it’s Trump’s fault. Newsom also claimed that the Trump administration gave Singh a work permit. The White House and the Department of Homeland Security hit back immediately.

In 2018, Donald Trump was doing everything he could to secure the border. Newsom and his party were fighting Trump’s border wall every step of the way. Moreover, leftist politicians were making their cities and states into “sanctuaries” for illegal aliens.

It was Newsom’s administration that gave Singh a driver’s license. He applied for a work permit during Trump’s first administration and was rejected. Joe Biden granted Singh a work permit.

Various online posts have linked Harjinder Singh to a bridge collapse in Arkansas several years ago. It turns out that the crash in Florida and the collapsed bridge in Arkansas involved different men with the same name.

Catching Up

Democrat state legislators who fled Texas to shut down a special session of the legislature are now back in Austin and under 24/7 police escort. With the quorum secured, Texas Republicans are expected to pass a new congressional redistricting plan soon.

Meanwhile, Gov. Newsom is going full-speed ahead with his plans to counter the new Texas map by redrawing California’s congressional map. If he succeeds, Republicans will have only 8% of the House seats in a state where they get 40% of the vote.

So, it’s even more imperative for other Republican states—Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, and Ohio—to catch up with the Democrats on gerrymandering.

Let’s be absolutely clear about this: We are having this fight because of Republican passivity at the state level for decades. After leaving the Obama administration, former Attorney General Eric Holder launched a major effort to ensure Democrat gerrymandering.

And don’t forget that the Census Bureau admitted it botched the 2020 count with significant undercounts in some states and overcounts in others. Of course, these mistakes favored the Democrats—63% of the overcounted states were Democrat states, while 83% of the undercounted states were conservative states.

That resulted in conservative states not getting additional seats they should have and liberal states keeping seats they should have lost.

Now, we’re scrambling to catch up.
