Faces Of Insurrection
Democrats and their media allies spent four years demonizing Donald Trump, patriots, and conservative Christians as “insurrectionists.” At the same time, the thugs violently attacking conservatives and burning down our big cities were hailed as “anti-fascists” and “mostly peaceful.” That’s disinformation on steroids!
Take a good look at this picture. It’s the mug shots of the extremists who attacked the immigration detention facility near Fort Worth, Texas, on July 4th. These are the faces of insurrection.
These are not simply idealistic people overwhelmed with empathy for poor immigrants. This is an army of Antifa and Transtifa anarchists. There are thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of these monsters in our country today. Many are “homegrown.” Others poured in across our open border.
We deceive ourselves if we think these violent attacks are just isolated incidents. They are not. If you consider their worldview, there is a hostile “army” among us. It is nurtured by a neo-Marxist ecosystem all over America (see next item), and it’s looking for every opportunity to bring us down.
It’s leftist elected officials stripping the names of our Founding Fathers off of our schools.
It’s socialist professors who want to rename an established university “The George Floyd University.”
It’s radical college professors taking inspiration from Hamas and saying, “The goal is to dismantle the settler project that is the United States.” And it’s the audience applauding the call for the destruction of America.
It’s city council candidates who say, “I wanna see a few dead ICE agents, Los Angeles! Don’t let me down.”
These leftist insurrectionists and revolutionaries are not interested in debates about trade policy, marginal tax rates, and how to grow the economy. They hate America. They don’t want America to be great again. They want America to be gone.
Left-wing Hate
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has provided Holocaust educational materials to American public schools for 40 years. The National Education Association (NEA), the nation’s largest teachers’ union, just voted to sever ties with the ADL and no longer use its material. There are 3 million NEA teachers in our elementary and secondary classrooms.
One NEA delegate said, “Allowing the ADL to determine what constitutes antisemitism would be like allowing the fossil-fuel industry to determine what constitutes climate change.”
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, a liberal Democrat and former Obama staffer, blasted the leftists who control the NEA, saying:
“[This is] a radical agenda that these individuals are trying to insert [into our classrooms] and indoctrinate our kids. . . The truth is that these anti-Israel activists are insidious. They see the way that you can capture the culture is by going after our children. . . [Radical] activists are trying to capture the culture, and it starts with education.”
Greenblatt is right. Extremist teachers are trying to produce more people like those we’re seeing on our college campuses. Only now they’re going after kids in middle school and high school, where most Holocaust education begins.
But not everyone was against the NEA’s decision. CAIR, the radical Islamic lobbying group, commended the NEA for its “principled move.”
Better Late Than Never
Former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey are reportedly under investigation by the Justice Department essentially for conspiring to spread fake information to destroy the first Trump administration or, at the very least, to paralyze it.
As we now know, Brennan, allegedly at the request of the FBI, overrode the CIA’s top Russia experts to include the fake Russia collusion Steele dossier in a formal intelligence analysis on the 2016 election.
Cheered on by Democrats and the leftist media, Comey then used the dossier and the intelligence analysis to launch an inquisition against the duly elected president of the United States.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign was peddling Russia collusion garbage well before the November 2016 election. People associated with Hillary thought there might be a chance to prevent Trump from taking the Oath of Office.
For all the Left’s hysteria about alternative slates of 2020 electors, leftists ran a “terror campaign” against the 2016 Republican electors, trying to intimidate them into not voting for Donald Trump.
I know some people will say, “Gary, this isn’t worth it. We shouldn’t be looking backwards trying to relitigate the past.” Sometimes that’s the right advice. But not this time.
This is about accountability. This is about criminal activities by leftists in the Deep State to thwart the will of the people and undermine the duly elected government. This is about the real threat to our democracy.
It must be addressed. It would be unjust not to do so.
Telling Timing
The timing of yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling allowing the Trump administration to reorganize the government while legal challenges are litigated is very revealing. As a reminder, the Supreme Court’s session ended in June. And yet it issued this ruling, as well as a few others since then.
While the justices are moving too slowly in my view, they are at least taking action. This is another shot across the bow of these rogue, anti-democracy district court judges who are trying to deprive the president of his executive powers.
Once again, the justices have said to the subordinate judges, “Stop it!” I am hopeful that someday, sooner rather than later, they will say, “That’s it!” and issue a very clear order that is binding on all of them.
I couldn’t help noticing yesterday that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson stood out for being the lone dissent in this decision. How far-left do you have to be when you can’t even get Sonia Sotomayor to agree with you?!
I know she couldn’t answer the simple question of what a woman is. But I don’t recall any senators asking during her confirmation hearing what her views were on district court judges using national injunctions to usurp the authority of the president.
For years, establishment Republican senators have surrendered to Democrats with the “cop out” excuse that presidents deserve to have their nominees confirmed, no matter what the nominee believes, as long as they aren’t corrupt. Not believing in the Constitution of the United States is corrupt!
Not So Super
A new Superman movie is coming out this week. Don’t waste your money. It’s a woke tribute to open borders. The leftist director has turned Superman into an immigrant from planet Krypton in order to lecture our children about how evil those of us are who want border security.
Yes, Superman was from Krypton. But he fell out of the sky as a baby into a Kansas farm field. The childless couple who found him made a courageous decision to raise him, and they raised him with American heartland values.
They taught him to be fair, humble, courageous, to love our country, and to use his strength wisely. Superman’s original motto was “Fighting for truth, justice, and” -- wait for it -- “the American way.” He was MAGA.
But truth, justice, and the American way are under attack by today’s Left.
As I noted above, today’s open borders crowd produces not patriotic, America-loving superheroes but America-haters like Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and Zohran Mamdani, who attacked America on July Fourth.
Just months after becoming an American citizen, Mamdani showed his disdain for us by giving a statue of Christopher Columbus the finger. Not nice.
Open borders give us the ingrates we see in American cities flying the flags of foreign countries while burning ours.
Our heroes today are the brave men and women who keep us safe by securing the border and getting violent, criminal illegal aliens out of our country. Superman would be on their side.
