Victories For Faith
Following up on President Trump’s tremendous address yesterday to the Religious Liberty Commission, the White House released a list of “100 Victories for People of Faith.”
It’s an impressive list of accomplishments and actions on many issues men and women of faith care deeply about—and many issues American Values has been working on for years. I encourage you to read the list and share it with friends and family members.
This list is proof of why it is so important for men and women of faith to be active and informed Christian citizens. Your values matter. Your votes make a difference. And your voice is being heard.
Trump Was Right
Last month, after yet another bizarre jobs report, President Trump fired the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Democrats and their media allies were apoplectic that Trump knocked out another “pillar of the bureaucracy.” But he had good reason to do so.
For years now, the BLS jobs reports have been almost meaningless. We get initial numbers that are later wildly revised, almost always down, and revised yet again. Millions of jobs were “disappeared” by the BLS during the Biden years. (Here and here.)
Well, they just did it again. More than 900,000 jobs from March 2024 to March 2025 (10 months under Biden) just disappeared, according to the latest BLS estimates.
These massive revisions make it impossible for policymakers to make accurate, well-informed decisions about the economy. Something is seriously wrong. This is no way to run a country. Donald Trump was right to fire the BLS commissioner.
Left-wing Lunacy
The North Carolina horror story about a murdered Ukrainian refugee continues to gain traction, but with the most disgusting spin from the Left. Decent Americans are shocked over the death of Iryna Zarutska, an actual refugee—a young woman who was brutally killed by Decarlos Brown for no reason other than she was sitting on the train.
Corporate media and Democrat socialists tried to bury Zarutska twice. She was buried after she was killed. Then, the Left buried her again by “spiking” her story so no one would see it.
Conservative media and social media would not let her be “disappeared.” Now, the pro-crime lobby is smearing conservatives for doing the job the Left and its media allies refused to do: Tell the truth.
North Carolina’s Democrat governor said, “We need more cops on the beat to keep people safe.” More cops on the beat is never a bad thing. But Brown had been arrested 14 times before he slaughtered this defenseless young woman.
More police won’t matter if left-wing judges keep releasing criminals. Judge Teresa Stokes released Brown after his 14th arrest “based solely on his ‘written promise’ to appear for a future court date.”
Incredibly, the judge released Brown on his own recognizance even after he had been diagnosed as mentally ill. Even his mother did not want him released because of his history of violent outbursts and schizophrenia.
While we’re on the subject of left-wing crazy judges, federal District Court Judge Victoria Marie Calvert just blocked a Georgia law that protects taxpayers from being forced to subsidize transgender sex changes for prisoners.
Calvert is a Biden appointee, and Senator Jon Ossoff, who is up for reelection next year, bragged about voting to confirm her. Is Sen. Ossoff also for “they/them” like Kamala Harris and Judge Calvert? Of course he is.
Values Split
NBC News just released a poll that examined the values of Gen Z voters, young Americans ages 18-29, and divided their responses based on who they voted for in the 2024 presidential election. The results are extraordinary.
- Young men who voted for Donald Trump said their number one value for “having a successful life” was “having children.”
- Young women who voted for Harris said “having children” ranked 12th on a list of 12 priorities—dead last.
This is the most incredible division I have ever seen in my life. Even among young women who voted for Trump, “having children” was 6th out of 12. I suspect that 50 years of telling women to abort their babies has literally stripped the mothering instinct from millions of young women.
But it also raises the question: Who are these young men going to find to marry?
Democrats Love Socialism
Gallup just released a new survey that shows how far left today’s Democrat Party truly is. The national survey asked American adults how they viewed capitalism and socialism.
Only 42% of Democrats said they viewed capitalism positively, while 55% viewed it negatively. But 66% of Democrats said they had a positive view of socialism, while just 30% of Democrats had a negative view of socialism.
However, Americans generally prefer capitalism over socialism by 15 points, meaning a large majority of Democrats are totally out of step with the rest of the country.
Israel Strikes Hamas
Israel carried out a precision strike against Hamas leaders today. That may not seem like big news given the Israeli operations in Gaza City. But today’s strike wasn’t in Gaza City.
Israeli jets struck a residential building in Doha, Qatar, where Khalil al-Hayya and Zaher Jabarin were living. Al-Hayya is widely considered to be the leader of Hamas since Israel eliminated Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar.
Al-Hayya and Jabarin are top leaders of the Hamas Political Bureau based in Qatar. But don’t make the mistake of thinking they are not “diplomats.” They are terrorists with the blood of innocent Israelis on their hands. There are also unconfirmed reports that Khaled Mashal, one of the founders of Hamas, was killed in the strike.
Once again, we see why Hamas has no need for a long-term retirement program.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a short statement acknowledging the strike, saying:
“Today’s action against the top terrorist chieftains of Hamas was a wholly independent Israeli operation. Israel initiated it, Israel conducted it, and Israel takes full responsibility.”
