This White House delivers amazing surprises with regularity. Forty-eight hours after the extraordinary attack on Iran’s nuclear weapons program, President Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

It is admittedly an uneasy ceasefire. I am praying it holds. I’m also praying that Iran’s radical regime has learned its lesson. Only time will tell.

It was amusing to see Vice President J.D. Vance on Fox News last night, discussing recent events. While he was on the air, Trump announced the ceasefire, and Vance had to react on the spot. He handled it incredibly well and articulated the rationale with ease.

Once again, Donald Trump has cemented his place in history by doing what previous presidents promised but failed to do.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been threatening to assassinate President Trump for years now in retaliation for Trump taking out Iran’s terrorist mastermind, General Qasem Soleimani, in 2020. Credible reports indicate that the Iranian regime threatened President Trump again at last week’s G-7 Summit.

Iran sent a message warning Trump that its sleeper cells in the United States would be ordered to carry out terrorist attacks if the U.S. bombed Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

As we know, the president was not intimidated by Tehran’s threats. He went forward with the attack on their nuclear weapons program. If anything, the Islamic regime’s repeated threats against Trump’s life and the safety of the American people likely strengthened his resolve.

As the Israeli-Iranian war continues, we are all wrestling with the very real threat of a nuclear-armed Iran and justified concerns about another U.S. intervention in the Middle East. But there may be more to worry about than just the Middle East. The war could be fought here, too.

The FBI is stepping up surveillance of Iranian-backed terrorist “sleeper cells” in the United States. These cells are most likely connected to Hezbollah, and there is every reason to believe they are here.

In addition to Iranian terrorists, we have an unknown number of Islamist sympathizers. Radical Marxists and Islamists are taking to the streets and defending Iran. The disgusting chants from the pro-Iranian demonstration this week in New York City are telling.

The headlines out of Israel this morning were jarring. A major hospital was hit by an Iranian missile. Incredibly, there were no deaths or serious injuries because the hospital wing that sustained the direct hit was evacuated yesterday.

We need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We also need to pray for President Trump and his team as they discuss America’s role in this conflict. The White House announced today that the president is giving Iran one last chance to negotiate a deal, adding that the president will make his decision “within the next two weeks.”

Whether America directly helps Israel end the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran may very well be the most difficult and most consequential decision Donald Trump makes in his entire presidency.

Last year, the Biden administration’s trans ideologues at the Department of Justice sued the state of Tennessee seeking to strike down the state’s law protecting children from transgender surgeries, mutilations, and powerful drugs. The Biden/Harris regime wanted to stop every state from protecting its children.

Thankfully, that did not happen. Today, common sense, children, parents, the Natural Law, religious liberty, and objective science won big at the Supreme Court!

In a 6 to 3 decision, the court’s conservative Trump majority ruled that states can protect children from the pseudoscience of “gender-affirming care.”

American Values was in the middle of this fight. We signed an amicus brief filed with the Supreme Court supporting Tennessee’s commonsense law.

“Evacuate Tehran”

President Trump left the G7 Summit early yesterday to return to Washington, D.C., because of growing risks in the Middle East. He ordered his National Security Council to be ready and waiting in the Situation Room when he returned. The president also posted this message on Truth Social:

Everyone who attended or watched on TV Saturday’s military parade in honor of the U.S. Army’s 250^th birthday couldn’t help but feel their heart swelling with pride for our country and the men and women who defend it. The parade was a tremendous tribute to their courage and sacrifice.
