New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, along with Democrat officials in 20 states, are suing the Trump administration. Why? They want to make sure that you—the American taxpayer—are picking up the tab for all the immigrants on welfare.
The Trump administration has implemented what’s known as the “public charge rule.” That rule allows the government to deny visas and green cards to immigrants who are likely to become dependent on welfare programs. It’s just common sense. We want immigrants who can contribute to the country, not be a drain on your tax money.
In many ways that is the heart of the immigration issue, and it’s why you can’t compare previous waves of immigration in the 1800s and early 1900s to the open border policies of today’s Democrat Party.
No one in the late 1800s and early 1900s said, “Hey, we can have a better life in America by getting on welfare, getting free housing and free healthcare.” There was no modern welfare state then. Instead, they came here to have a better life by working hard and becoming an American.
This is not a hypothetical issue. Studies show that nearly half of all immigrant households are on some kind of government assistance. And almost every day, we discover that yet another taxpayer-funded program is getting ripped off by foreign fraudsters.
What President Trump has done is incredibly important to protect the American taxpayer. But Democrats are vehemently fighting it because they want the tidal wave of illegal aliens to begin again as soon as possible.
They’re Lying To You
Before a few days ago, Democrat Senate candidate James “Talafreako” was all in on the radical trans agenda. Now, he wants voters to believe he doesn’t support boys in girls’ sports or mutilating surgeries on children.
That’s really odd considering how much he “loves trans kids.” He campaigned with a doctor who performed gender-denying surgeries. He said not affirming a child’s gender delusions was “child abuse.” And his favorite drag queen—of course, he has one—seems to really like children.
But never mind all of that. You should just believe what he is saying right now. Or should you?
Rev. Babs Miller, the “out” lesbian chaplain at Talarico’s church, just said, “I can guarantee you that once he gets elected, he’ll change his tune back to where he was.” So, take it from Babs—“Talafreako” is a liar.
He’s also a cheater. His campaign was just busted trying to buy votes.
James Talarico is one of many Democrat candidates who have been scrambling to erase their social media histories. They’re desperately hoping to hide all of the whacked-out insane things they have been saying over the years. Things like destroying the American way of life, repealing the Second Amendment and seizing the means of production.
This should not be hard for any Christian voter. If a candidate is saying two entirely different things, the simple test is: What was he saying before he was running for office? That tells you exactly who he is.
These Democrats are not all having “road to Damascus” conversions. You know the old saying: How can you tell if a politician is lying? His lips are moving.
One Step Further
It goes without saying that Christians should vote for candidates who say they support religious liberty. Well, no one runs for office saying, “I’m against religious liberty. I want to shut down all the churches.” You have to go one step further.
Why did they support judges who always restrict religious liberty? Why did they oppose President Trump’s Supreme Court nominees who were committed to religious liberty? Why do they support adding more justices to the Supreme Court knowing that the additional justices will all be leftists who will restrict the rights of Christians?
By the way, don’t confuse religious liberty with the right to worship. The Left is perfectly happy to allow us to go to our churches and worship on Sunday.
But they expect us to keep our Christian values confined to the four walls of our churches and homes. They expect us to keep our values out of all the things they call “politics,” especially the voting booth. Meanwhile, they keep redefining what “politics” is in order to seize more ground in the culture war.
Toss-Ups & Turnout
Of the 8 toss-up Senate races across the country, the latest polls show that 7 are within the margin of error and essentially tied.

Mary Peltola (D) is up 2 points in Alaska.

Susan Collins (R) is up 1 point in Maine.

Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed (D) is up 2 in Michigan.

Michele Tafoya (R) and Peggy Flanagan (D) are tied in Minnesota.

John Sununu (R) and Chris Pappas (D) are tied in New Hampshire.

Sherrod Brown (D) is up 3 points in Ohio.

James Talarico (D) is up 1 point in Texas.
Mike Rogers, Michele Tafoya and John Sununu are running very strong races for Democrat-held Senate seats. A new poll of the governor’s race in Oregon finds the Republican candidate leading the incumbent Democrat by 2 points. It’s been 44 years since Oregon last elected a Republican governor.
Turnout will determine everything in these close, toss-up contests. With the exception of Texas, all of these races are in states with one thing in common—it’s relatively cold in November. If you live in Maine or New Hampshire and much of the Midwest, you could wake up on Election Day to sleet or a snowstorm.
All of which is to say that even though we may not like it, voting early, particularly voting early in person in states that allow it, is really important.
It’s a nightmare scenario, but I think it’s likely that days after the election, there will be no clear winner in multiple House and Senate races. We could see weeks of court battles. One or two more votes per precinct could make all the difference.
So, if 10 more people out of every Bible-believing church in America voted than were planning on voting, that alone could decide who controls the House and Senate.

Left-wing Lunacy
Radical influencer Hasan Piker, who has campaigned for several Democrat candidates this year, is once again smearing America. Saying we “deserved” 9/11 wasn’t enough for Piker. Now, he’s accusing the United States of being worse than Al Qaeda when it comes to terrorism.
Referring to an Iranian girls’ school that was destroyed at the beginning of the Iran war, Piker said, “If you’re [America] killing 140 schoolgirls, that is an act of terror.” Piker added, “We have to . . . ensure things like that never happen again.”
That’s an unreachable goal. There has never been a war that had no civilian casualties. Twice as many civilians as soldiers died in World War II.
If you say America can never be in a war where enemy civilians die, you are guaranteeing that we will be in a future war where an unimaginable number of American civilians die. And you are guaranteeing that every enemy we face will put as many civilians around their military assets, which is what the terrorists already do.
Speaking of civilian casualties, the New York Times was forced to issue a retraction for an article this week. It bizarrely declared, “Israelis still largely view themselves as the victims of Oct. 7,” referring to the Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023. Does the Times think Israelis were not the victims of October 7?
The Times worldview resembles that of Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed who said, “9/11 scarred our country in profound ways, but what we did after 9/11 scarred millions of other people.”
Those “other people” he’s referring to are Muslims who lived in fear of our alleged “Islamophobia.”
